Dear Proprietor

 

Please note as and from 1st February, 2010:

 

NHI will send the ORIGINAL VETTING FORMS to you once they are returned from the Garda Vetting office.  You will find the results of vetting detailed on the bottom of page 2.

 

NHI will no longer send you a COPY of returned vetting results.   The practice of filing the ORIGINAL form at NHI offices will cease. NHI will not keep copies of these forms, therefore if a form is mislaid you will have to go through the garda vetting process again.

 

As a Proprietor, we must make you aware of your responsibility, under data protection laws, to house these Garda Vetting Forms in a locked cabinet with limited access.  We suggest all Nursing Homes be very vigilant in filing these forms as the information is strictly private and confidential.
