Nursing Homes Week 2013

Nursing Homes Ireland member homes are happy positive environments that provide excellent care to older persons living in our communities. The inaugural NHI Nursing Homes Week will take place Monday 26th August – Sunday 1st September and highlight the positivity that is to the core of nursing home life. 

Nursing Homes Week will highlight the excellent quality care provided by NHI Members in 300+ communities across Ireland.

Our 360+ members will run events and activities to promote nursing home life. They will invite residents, families and friends, and local communities to celebrate nursing home life and gain a real insight into it.

The week will help change perceptions of nursing home life and highlight the happy, positive environments that are NHI Member homes. It will stimulate discussion and debate surrounding the future of care provision for older people in Ireland and accentuate the best practice methods currently employed by our Members.

Watch out for the launch of Quality Living, Quality Care, a new NHI booklet that is being launched to promote nursing home life and inform older persons/their residents as to the health and social care provided in nursing homes.
